It'd be a shame to say you lost me.
But if you want that, it's a wrap.
And I won't look back.
When you realize there’s no one out there like me, I won’t be where you left me.

Hamilton Music Awards!

This year I was lucky enough to be able to volunteer to work at the Hamilton Music Awards.  They were held at the McIntyre Theatre at Mohawk College.  I was assistant to the stage manager so my job was to make sure that all of the artists were in the right place at the right time; ready for their performances.  It was a lot of fun being part of a televised event like this.  I learned a lot. :)

The evening prior to the HMA's was the Industry Awards, where after the Awards, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings put on a concert!  First off, Tom Wilson is a legend.  I just love listening to that man's voice.  Secondly, amazing guitar playing in this band.  I loved every second of it.  They even had not one, but TWO encores!

The next day was the HMA's.  Again, my photos arent the best because I was just taking some quick snapshots from side stage, but memories are memories.

Opening the show was Riddim Riders, who played while everyone was filing into the auditorium as well as the first performance of the show.  I had never heard them play before.  They were pretty cool!

Brandon Pacheco performed next.  He was absolutely adorable, with his add-on at the end of his performance thanking Parkside, Kendell and Paul (his management team, whom I used to intern for) for their part in helping him win the award he accepted prior to his performance.

Jeremy Fisher followed with an amazing performance of a song from his new "Flood" record.  He also cleaned up with awards that night as well!  Congrats Jeremy!

Ian Thomas was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Jay Hachey, aka. "The Mouthpiece" also performed as well as Dawn and Marra.

Blackie and the Rodeo Kings then wowed the crowd again with another fantastic performance!

To follow came The Dinner Belles, who killed it!
Monster Truck then closed the show with a killer song right at the end of the show.  It was pretty rockin'!

I am also proud to report that John's band, LiveHowYouLive, won the People's Choice award and SUPERCRAWL won an award as well!  Parkside won the award for Best Artist Manager.  Ace and Joe were also nominated for the Tour Manager award.  I was so proud to be part of this year's Hamilton Music Awards!  All the amazing people that I have gotten to know through my internships as well as the events I was part of, were up for awards.  It was very exciting!  I had a great time!  Congratulations to all of the award winners!

There were two afterparties held afterwards at The Corktown and This Ain't Hollywood.  I ended up making appearances at both and having a great night!

Halloween 2011!

"My Pokemon brings all the nerds to the yard.  And they're like, do you wanna trade cards?  Darn right.  I wanna trade cards.. but not my Charizard."

You guessed it!  I was a nerd this year for Halloween!

The first Halloween party of this year was at Kelly's house.  It was great because Tarah was home for a short time so it was so nice to visit with everyone.  There were so many people that I hadn't seen either since high school or at least for quite some time.  It was so much fun!

The next fun night out for Halloween was when Natalie and I went to Halloween Motown night at Absinthe.  Sadly, this night ended with my iPhone getting stolen.  But before that happened, we had a lot of fun!

We then decided to take pictures with everyone who we thought had awesome costumes lol.

The last night out for Halloween was Leah's annual Halloween party with all the Silvercity folk, haha.  It was a good time, as always.  She always goes all out with the decorations, like no one else I've seen for Halloween.  It's pretty awesome.

Halloween was a pretty good one this year!  I saw tons of people and had a great time!

FOUR YEAR STRONG baby! ♥

I had been waiting for Four Year Strong to come to town for such a long time, so I don't need to tell you how excited I was to see this show!  They played at The Phoenix along with Gallows, Title Fight, The Swellers and Sharks.  My brother and a bunch of his friends went with me.  My photos are not the best because all I had with me was my iPhone.. but it was such an awesome show!  This is one of my favourite bands for sure!  I love their lyrics and they're always such high energy!  They're great!

"Strike me out.  Take a breath full of doubt.  Spit back at the wall.  Brace yourself for the backlash.  You better believe that it's falling on you."

They were fantastic.  That's all I have to say.
We even got to meet them afterwards!  They're such nice dudes!

Amazing show!

Chris Daughtry at The Phoenix!

Ally and I had been talking about going to see Chris Daughtry for such a long time before this show!  And we hadn't even planned on going to this particular show, but I then decided that tickets to see Daughtry would be the perfect birthday present for Ally!  We were so excited.  My friend Sarah had an extra ticket so Jenny decided to come with us as well.  We went for a nice dinner at the Pickle Barrel first and then headed to the show!

Mike Sanchez opened the show.  He was so cute!

We then waited patiently for Daughtry to take the stage!  We absolutely loved the show.

We ended up leaving right at the time when he decided to come outside and meet some fans!  I was pretty excited to meet him.  He's a very nice guy.  I did expect him to be taller though. ;)
