THE FOO'S! ♥

AWESOME is pretty much the only way I can describe this show.  They rocked the sold out ACC.  They played an amazing 2 and a half hour set!  I would have to say though that I feel as though the half hour encore topped the whole show completely; playing old and new hits.  It would've been worth it if I even just saw the encore.

I know what it feels like for me to be standing up high in front of all of these people.  I can't imagine what it would feel like performing for all of these people.  Just incredible.

The whole show was just fantastic. Dave Grohl is pretty much the man. There isn't much more to say.

Hamilton's Own; The Reason and The Arkells at Festival of Friends!

The second day of Festival of Friends was pretty cool because we had some good Hamilton talent on the stage; The Reason, who have been playing every summer festival this year it seems, and The Arkells.

The afternoon rain didn't stop the crowds from coming out and supporting The Reason in the afternoon.  Even though it sounds like the amount of festivals that The Reason has been doing is slightly affecting lead singer, Adam's voice a little bit, I still loved seeing them play as usual.

The Arkells played later on in the evening.  They played a short but fantastic set!  They whole crowd was into it for sure.  They even ended their set by bringing The Reason on stage and doing a sweet hard-rock duet cover of Bryan Adam's "Run To You".  It was pretty kick-ass, I must say!

BRIGHT WHITE 4.0!

It has become tradition that every year, my friend Greg throws a party with the theme, "Bright White".  It used to be something he did for his birthday party but now he has made it a bigger event that he has made into a charity event.

This year he held it at a hall in Burlington.  So after Festival of Friends, we headed on over.  Greg had the hall set up and decorated beautifully.  Everyone was wearing white!  It was a lot of fun!  As usual, Greg out-did himself.  We all had a great time!  :)

City and Colour at Festival of Friends!

This year we had the treat of having City and Colour perform at Festival of Friends.  I was super excited about this!  What I was not super excited about, was the fact that they held the Festival of Friends at the Ancaster Fair Grounds this year instead of the usual Gage Park in Hamilton.  It was absolutely ridiculous.  We had to park so far away from the Fairgrounds because traffic was so horrendous.  It was completely disorganized.

Either way, we eventually made it there.  Dallas Green was amazing as usual.  His voice is so soothing.  I want him to come to my house and sing me to sleep every night.  I love it.  He totally killed it (in a great way).

It was interesting and sad that this was also the day that Dallas Green's other band, Alexisonfire, broke up.  Many people are up in arms about this.  Although, there are rumors of a final Canadian tour before they are done for good.  But it will be their last/closing tour.

Sleeping Sickness and Fragile Bird were definitel my favourite songs that he played.

Jenny's 25th! ♥

My best friend turned 25!!

She threw a sweet backyard bash and had the band Low Level Flight play!  It was pretty bad-ass.

I love her with my life.

We had so much fun!

BEERBAUM KEGGER #2!

The Beerbaums threw yet another successful kegger this summer!  My brother, Bryan, and I started the tradition last year of throwing an annual kegger.  They have been so much fun!  It's a great way to get everyone together, and I mean EVERYONE.

Everyone always has such a blast. This year was no exception. We dodged the rain just perfectly. It turned out to be a great success!

We even got Penny in on the action!

We did run out of beer around 1:30, but to me, it was perfect timing. I had a blast! I hope everyone else did too!

3oh!3 Headlines Warped Tour!

3oh!3 is a crazy bunch; let me tell ya!  They were so lively and upbeat; perfect to close the line-up at Warped Tour 2011.  They allowed their fans to leave Warped on a high note!  These guys are also one of Jenny's faves so she was of course going nuts throughout their set, haha.  We were definitely dancing up a storm, along with the rest of the massive crowd that stayed all day to see them!

Unwritten Law.

To be honest, I hadn't heard much from Unwritten Law until my best friend told me that we couldn't miss their set at Warped Tour.  These guys definitely have the rocker image down pat.  Unwritten Law just released their sixth album called, "Swan" in March.  You could tell they were having a real blast up on that stage at Warped Tour!  The rocked it!
