We found love in a hopeless place. ♥

I have fallen head over heels in love with this video.
It brings so many different emotions while watching it.
Rihanna is fantastic.  I love everything she stands for.

"It's like you're screaming, but no one can hear.

You almost feel ashamed that someone could be that important; that without them you feel like nothing.
No one will ever understand how much it hurts.
You feel hopeless; like nothing can save you.
And when it's over and it's gone, you almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back so that you could have the good."

What was I to you?

"So the storm finally found me and left me in the dark.
In the cloud around me, I don’t know where you are.
If this old world goes up in arms, all I can do is stand.
And I won’t fight for anyone until you move my hands.
And wipe the mark of madness from my face."

"Where are you?  And I'm so sorry.
I cannot sleep.  I cannot dream tonight.
I need somebody and always,
This sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting every time.
And as I stared I counted the webs from all the spiders; catching things and eating their insides.
Like indecision to call you and hear your voice of treason.
Will you come home and stop this pain tonight?"

The Heartbroken at Supercrawl. ♥

The Heartbroken was one of the bands that played during the day at Supercrawl.
They are one of the bands that I did not know too much about, to be honest, but I watched their entire set and their music really effected me.

Some people would maybe consider talking about certain times or moments in your life dwelling on them.  But they way Damnhait Doyle (singer) sings her songs with The Heartbroken, shows her audience that she is truly effected by the things she has gone through.  That is what drew me in.  Admittedly, there are a lot of love songs and songs about heartbreak; hense the band name, "The Heartbroken".  But there are also songs about other experiences she has gone through in her life.  I just found their music to be very honest and sincere.  I absolutely loved it.

She is not just singing the same things over and over again to complain about her life.  I get that feeling from other artists sometimes.  She is genuinely effected by the experiences in her life, which I can very much relate to.  I found their set at Supercrawl to be very profound and I felt connected in some way.  So I guess they did their job. ;)

My favourite thing I think was when I went to check out The Heartbroken's facebook (https://www.facebook.com/theheartbroken), in their "About" section, it just says "I guess I just gotta get over it."  Very ironic/sarcastic I think.  I find I say that to myself sarcastically many times.

The song that I found to be the most profound was called, "Save Yourself".  Give it a listen.

Anyways, I've fallen in love with The Heartbroken and everyone should go and check them out at http://www.theheartbroken.com!

SUPERCRAWL!

As I have mentioned before, I spent my summer interning at Sonic Unyon Records and Hidden Pony Records.  I spent most of my summer at Sonic Unyon planning for their now annual festival that they put on in Hamilton called Supercrawl.

Supercrawl is a music and art based festival that was held on James Street downtown.  We closed the street down for the day and set up three stages for many many acts to perform on.  There were tons of art installations in the galleries as well as on the street.  We also had lots of food vendors throughout the street as well.  Broken Social Scene headlined the festival, along with many other acts performing all throughout the day.

There was a car that everyone could sign! haha

Lisa (the other Sonic Unyon intern) and had such a fun time that day.  We posed with many art installations that day lmao.  It was a fun day!

My mom came down to check out Supercrawl as well! :)

We then got Gorilla Cheese.  They were pretty delicioussss.

I work with Sean at Sonic Unyon and Kendell at Hidden Pony.

I had a really great time helping out at Supercrawl!  I love the people I intern with and I also ran into few people I know that day!  It was a great day of live music and learning.  I walked up and down that street so so many times that day and never got bored!  I saw something new every time.  It was a great day and I thank anyone and everyone who came down to support!

My 22nd Birthday! ♥

I spent my 22nd birthday in Niagara Falls this year!
I've wanted to spend my birthday in the falls for so long now and this year I finally decided to just go for it.  I got a bunch of people together and rented a huge-ass room at the Marriott and threw a party.  It was a blast!

Ally and I were the first to arrive at the room.  We nearly died when we saw the room and the VIEW.  It was gorgeous!

We were jumping for joy at the sight of it.  We had to start the day off right with a shot of Patron immediately.

Bryan and some of his friends then arrived.  Ally and I decided to go for dinner at the Milestones in the hotel and then we made a pit stop at the falls on the way to meet the guys over at the casino.

When we were done at the casino, people started showing up at the hotel.  We had to get the party started!  I was so excited.  Our hotel room even had a DOORBELL.  You know you have a sah-weet room when it has its own personal doorbell, hahaha.  We got those drinks flowing and the drinking games started!

Riley and I got our asses beat at Beer Pong, lol.  Sorry Riley!  Not my strong suit.  I'm more of a Flip Cup champ.  I kicked some serious ass when we played Flip Cup.

After we got a noise complaint saying that if we got another noise complaint, we would be evicted, we left the hotel and went to Dragonfly!  Everyone kinda went and did their own thing but the girls and I ended up at Dragonfly.  It was so much fun!

So many shots, and so much dancing.

I love my friends with my life.
We then all went back to the hotel and crashed wherever people could find a spot, hahaha.

And it was amazing.. I woke up with absolutely NO hangover!

Too bad I can't say the same thing for Ally. ;)

I want to thank all of my friends for coming out to the falls to celebrate my day with me.  It meant so much.  I love you all with all of my heart!  I honestly had the absolute best time.  I hadn't felt that happy in a long time!  I was surrounded by everyone I love.
I have the best of friends!

Catching up.

So it seems I have a lot of catching up to do!
I'll have to get posting!
