Summer. ♥

So yet again, it's been quite a while since I've posted.

Things have just been so insanely busy!

When school finished, Becky and I took part in an internship in Toronto with a company called Indie Pool.  They only do two week programs, but it was such a fun time.  We did a lot of putting cds together, but we also learned about music liscensing and how to place certain songs into certain scenes; what to listen for.  We met so many awesome people and had such a great time.  It was sad when the two weeks were over!  They just flew by!

I am currently doing two internships in Hamilton now.  I'm interning with Sonic Unyon Recording Company and loving it.  We are currently working on planning and organizing an event in Hamilton called "Supercrawl".  It is an outdoor festival that is going to be held on James Street downtown.  We are closing down the street for the day!  Broken Social Scene is headlining and there are tons of other great acts playing as well.

I also intern at another place within the same building, upstairs, called "Hidden Pony Music".  I absolutely love it up there too.  There are way cool people working there.  What I've been doing lately is helping put together tours for a band called Said The Whale and an act called Jeremy Fisher.  I've been going through tons and tons of venues trying to find the appropriate ones.  It is a lot of fun.

I am really enjoying myself!
And who knows, maybe it will lead to job!  That would be so amazing. 
So yes.  Here I am trying to make it in the music industry.. broke as anything.. but still pressing on!  haha.
