Oh how lovely it is to have Fridays off! I still remember the day that I read my school schedule for the semester and the moment when I realised that there were no classes listed under the Friday column, it was like heaven. hahaha. But just because I have today off of school though and got to sleep in, it doesn't mean that I have a day of nothing today.
Currently in my Production class at school, we have a term project that was assigned where we have to fully produce and record an original song. It can be our song, or someone else's song. I chose to record my brother Bryan's band, "Rudiments".
Tonight Bryan and Chad are coming to London to track drums in the studio. I'm a bit nervous because I've been away from the board for so long. I do not want to be an engineer, so engineering is not necessarily my favourite thing, but I want the session to run smoothly. But on the production side, I think it will turn out quite well. Its gonna be a bit of work. Drums are not my strong suit. But it will be a lot of fun too! I feel comfortable knowing that I'm recording people that I've known my entire life. It'll make for a fun experience.
Afterwards, Jeff is meeting up with us in London and we are all meeting up a few of Bryan's friends who live in London and we're going out for some drinks. At least if the session bombs, there will be drinks after!
