It's a story about a musician who is getting older and he's running out of money. He is getting all of these offers of ways to make money such as writing songs for another artist, but he feels that doing that would be selling out. He is also an alcoholic. It is just about his life. He meets this reporter, played by Maggie Gyllenhaal (who I think is fantastic by the way), whom he falls in love with, but his drinking problem is concern for her and her son. I won't say what happens because I don't want to ruin it for anyone who wants to go see it. But it is just a great life story.
Everyone should go see it. :)
